Position Highlights:
- Receive a generous guaranteed salary in your final year of training

- The customized program will be completed at Optum Tri-State facilities in New Jersey and/or virtually with deep exposure to primary and specialty care the practice environment that will require a commitment of only a few hours per month

Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders, leading key initiatives such as new market launches, business development and other growth opportunities
- Provide analysis and support on topics such as the competitive environment, health care industry, government relations and new market opportunities
- Help create new solutions to address difficult and long-standing challenges in improving healthcare outcomes
- Support senior leaders in engaging with and influencing broad public healthcare policy development
- Help create presentations for internal and external audiences

Required Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O.
- Must be transitioning into their final year of residency or fellowship or early into their final year
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local physician resident in New Jersey.
