Responsibilities

Howmet Aerospace Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join a great Human Resources team as the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. This position will serve as the Head of Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (CoE) and will be responsible for the strategic foundation of recruitment globally, owning the programs, and data analytics that help us scale great hiring: attracting the best people and delivering an outstanding experience.

As a strategic partner in the company, you'll help tell the recruitment story through data, and enable others to unblock bottlenecks and identify new opportunities. You'll guide the HR teams to ensure consistency of delivery and experience, while spearheading the efforts to help everyone at Howmet Aerospace contribute to recruitment. You'll innovate and iterate on candidate journeys, evaluation techniques and processes that add up to a great candidate hiring experience.

Major activities/key challenges:
  • Partner with the HR Technology team to source, deploy and manage all systems and tools relating to recruitment that help the HR teams recruit more effectively and support the team's efficiency
  • Develop a culture of data and analytical rigor and build the foundations to enable data-informed recruitment and actionable insights. Help tell our recruitment and hire quality story to the business through data
  • Collaborate with Global HR Business Partners across the company, and other key stakeholders, to drive a strategic workforce planning approach that anticipates future talent needs and drives distinctive recruiting processes and tactics for all levels in the talent pipeline from early career to executive roles
  • Recruit, retain, and engage a small Talent Acquisition team; foster an environment of innovative HR/Talent Acquisition thinking, accountability, and collaboration
  • In partnership with communications, leaders, and HR, ensure a consistent employer brand story is leveraged and pulled through various process touch points and communication so that Howmet is seen internally and externally as an employer of choice. Develop Recruitment materials that enhance the Howmet Aerospace brand
  • Establish change management plans to facilitate faster adoption to changes in process, policies, and practices, including key stakeholder management and alignment
  • Design a best-in-class talent assessment process that includes industry-recognized tools and methods such as assessments, simulations, and structured interviews
  • Incorporate Howmet's diversity and culture objectives into processes and practices designed to enhance the overall candidate experience. Work with Employee Resource Groups (ERG) to build a robust understanding of requirements for attracting diverse talent
  • Recruit senior positions and specialists in Corporate Functions (e.g. Finance, Legal, IT)
  • Own enablement, learning and development for the HR Community's recruitment expertise, including training, onboarding, and knowledge management
  • Prioritize and drive experiments and innovative programs that impact our goals across all areas of recruitment, including areas such as diversity, our talent brand and awareness
  • Maintain knowledge of OFCCP compliance, relevant employment laws and emerging / best practice recruitment technology, processes and thinking, to enhance the business' recruitment offering
  • Manage and continuously evaluate key vendors across the entire recruitment life cycle ensuring SLA's are met and users have the knowledge and training to utilize the tools
Essential knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Experience using ATS systems (Workday, Oracle, Taleo etc.)
  • In-depth understanding of latest recruitment best practices and technologies; practices continuous learning to deliver on projects and business initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information appropriately to a variety of audiences
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills; capable of building trusting relationships across all levels and influencing without direct authority
  • Comfortable presenting to large and diverse audiences, including senior leadership
  • Open mindedness and flexibility to anticipate and respond quickly to changing needs of the organization
  • Highly collaborative; capable of bringing teams together and building consensus
  • Self-motivation, capable of taking initiative to proactively problem solve and identify solutions with minimal oversight
  • Solid influencing skills; can interpret and evaluate information objectively to effectively influence and guide senior leaders in decisioning
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, team members, and stakeholders in a de-centralized environment
  • A change agent; adept at delivering business results by bringing in new approaches and perspectives
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Talent Acquisition initiatives and programs in a global organization
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SHRM-CP or equivalent HR certification preferred
  • Experience leading a talent acquisition function in a large organization (in house and via RPO)
  • Significant experience running direct sourcing campaigns for senior roles resulting in successful hires
  • Experience partnering with executive search firms for senior roles
  • Experience defining and executing inclusion and diversity recruitment strategies
  • Experience in diverse candidate sourcing
  • Previous success supporting talent acquisition operations including process harmonization/optimization experience and system implementation
Salary Range: $120k - $140k/year approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/org location).
