POSITION OVERVIEW
DEFTEC Corporation is seeking am Action Officer, DARPA's Commercial Strategy Team applies an end-to-end approach to commercializing some of DARPA's most impactful technologies.
We accelerate DARPA technologies to drive new products, services, and capabilities for the DoD and commercial markets for both economic and national security through working with DARPA's top performers and researchers, and bringing in top entrepreneurs, venture and private investors, and other DoD and commercial experts and teams.
The Action Officer will work closely with DARPA Commercial Strategy leadership to prioritize, communicate, and execute Commercial Strategy initiatives and special projectsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engaging with the DARPA Commercial Strategy team, tech offices, DARPA performers, accelerators, commercial entrepreneurs, investors, academia, DoD, and other government partners to strengthen relationships, advance initiatives, and accelerate tech-to-market opportunities.
Provide comprehensive support to the DARPA Commercial Strategy leadership, track and manage action completion within the Commercial Strategy team, and draft strategy, planning, and decision support documents.
Execute commercialization projects and key initiatives to drive Commercial Strategy objectives. Coordinate and develop executive-level briefings to a wide range of government, corporate, and investor audiences.Assist in integrating workstreams, coordinating priorities, and facilitating meetings. Track and report Commercial Strategy activities, processes, and progress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Active Secret clearance with ability to attain TS/SCI
5+ years of relevant experience staffing and advising DoD, Cabinet, or Executive Office officials, corporate executives, or startup founders
Prior experience facilitating meetings on behalf of senior executives and coordinating actions and follow-up
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in technical communication (engineering and science)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated success developing presentations, background materials, and strategies
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong PowerPoint skills
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD experience with at least 2 years working within a R&D organization such as DARPA
