The Hematology-Oncology Division at the University of Minnesota is looking for a Pediatric Hematology-Oncologist who is board certified/eligible at the Assistant Professor level on an Academic Track.
About the Division
The Division provides an enriching environment for the care of children and adolescents with cancer and blood disease. There is a strong focus on developing and testing new agents for leukemias and solid tumors, as well as immune-based cellular therapies and cancer survivorship. The University of Minnesota plays a key role in the Pediatric Early Phase Clinical Trial Network Center. Additionally, the Division houses the University of Minnesota s Brain Tumor Program, enhancing the field of neuro-oncology.
Key Points
- Engage in translational research in neuro-oncology, secure peer-reviewed funding, and publish outcomes in reputable journals.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children s Hospital. Current emphasis is on neuro-oncology, but candidates with diverse interests in oncology and hematology are welcome.
- Openings are available for an Assistant Professor role in an Academic setting. The role entails focusing on translational research in pediatric neuro-oncology and delivering clinical care in pediatric oncology and neuro-oncology.
Expectations
- Completion of accredited ACGME Pediatric residency, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and Pediatric Neuro-Oncology fellowship programs.
- Board eligible/certified with the American Board of Pediatrics.
- State of Minnesota medical license and DEA eligibility, meeting credentialing and privilege qualifications.
- Satisfy work authorization requirements in the U.S. from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
