Are you an experienced housekeeping professional with a desire to work with an organization that is making a difference in the world? At Damar Services you can Damar Services is currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to consistently, through the application of the highest health standards, ensure that all client clothes and linens are cleaned and maintained to comply with State Board of Health's rules and regulations.

Shift:

Monday-Friday 5:
30a-2p + 1 weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) 6a-2p

$15.25 an hour

Ensures all client clothes and linens are maintained in such a manner as to provide the cleanest possible clothing and linens.

Performs all daily, weekly and monthly duties as per the Laundry Cleaning Policies and Procedures.

Performs weekend laundry duties as assigned to a weekend staff.

What you need to be considered...

Commercial washer and dryer equipment familiarity.

Ability to follow and execute specific oral and written instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to routinely lift 10 to 60 pounds from floor level to overhead in height.

Must have the ability to maneuver 20 to 100 pounds vertically.


Must have the ability to perform daily tasks by bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pulling and pushing with wrist, arm, shoulder and back movements.

Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.


Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Must meet background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.

Essential Job Functions:

Physical:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Hearing:

Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
