Join IBM as a Technology Sales Specialist

A Technology Sales Specialist role within IBM Security means providing top-notch solutions to help clients tackle challenges in cloud security, advanced threats, compliance, privacy, and mobile security. You'll stay ahead of industry trends, continuously develop personally and professionally, and serve as the trusted advisor for our clients' success.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Client Set Management and Value Articulation: Manage a dedicated client portfolio and articulate the unique value of IBM's technology at both technical and business levels. Portfolio includes:
    • Enterprise Asset & Integrated Workplace Management
    • Supply Chain Management & B2B Data Exchange
    • Engineering Lifecycle Management
    • Environmental/Weather/Climate
    • Sustainability/Social Governance
  • Solution-Selling Expertise in Business Development: Utilize solution-selling skills to identify decision makers, engage influencers, assess business opportunities, and meet clients' requirements to establish long-lasting partnerships.
  • End-to-End Sales Process Management: Lead the complete sales process, including RFI/RFP response preparation, meeting KPIs, and focusing on new business sales while supporting existing accounts.
  • Collaboration Across IBM Sales Ecosystem: Work closely with IBM's broader sales ecosystem and business partners to create sales campaigns and bolster the sales pipeline.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Proven Track Record of Success in Technology Sales or Deployment: Demonstrated success in technology sales, emphasizing client acquisition.
  • Application of Business and Commercial Acumen: Practical application of business and commercial acumen to effectively communicate at all levels.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to engage, compel, and influence effectively.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • In-Depth Knowledge of SSW solutions: Extensive expertise in related SSW business process and value propositions, demonstrating the ability to consult and advise clients effectively.
