Job Title: Psychiatric Safety Officer

Position Description:
The role of the Psychiatric Safety Officer at our organization involves safeguarding our premises, assets, staff, and clients. Moreover, this position works closely with program staff to create safe and therapeutic environments for clients and patients across our campus programs.
Work Schedule:
3rd Shift (11pm - 7am)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regularly patrol premises to maintain order and visibility.
  • Monitor the campus for unauthorized individuals and vehicles.
  • Respond to assistance calls across the campus, particularly in de-escalating patient situations.
  • Conduct safety searches on new patients' belongings.
  • Document activities, submit daily reports, and handle incident reports.
  • Investigate and respond to security and fire alarms.
  • Collaborate with other departments for security coordination.
  • Maintain certifications in relevant training programs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.
  • Attend meetings, training, and follow agency policies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of public safety and security protocols.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.

Skills Needed:
  • Strong surveillance skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in a similar safety-related role.
