About the Role:


We are currently in search of a Mortgage Post Closer to join our winning team. This role, based in Rockville, MD, involves providing effective loan servicing to members, ensuring quality control of servicing issues, and supporting investor loan sales and service efficiently.


Requirements

  • Performing quality control checks on mortgage loans and submitting a predefined sample to Lafayette's quality control provider.
  • Creating accurate and timely daily and monthly investor reports as required by Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA/VA.
  • Handling all daily mortgage settlements and reconciliations.
  • Preparing and submitting daily and monthly reports and managing remittance requirements for various investors, including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA/VA.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely preparation, input, and delivery of loans for sale to investors.
  • Engaging in internal and external audits.
  • Participating in special projects and assignments under the guidance of senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to the position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education and Skills:

  • Three years of related experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, ethical conduct, and cultural awareness.
  • Resourcefulness and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Requires a high level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy, and tact due to extensive personal interactions, including with various stakeholders.
