Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need...
  • Experience estimating and preparing bids for industrial or mechanical construction projects including water/wastewater treatment plants or pump stations.
  • Experience identifying quality bidding opportunities (QBOs): researching and analyzing RFPs for hard-bid and negotiated-bid projects and determining those with the highest potential value / ROI
  • An understanding of heavy civil construction principles, operations, and logistics.
  • To maintain relationships with internal and external customers through a culture of accountability and respect.
  • A proven track record of preparing accurate quantity takeoffs and estimates for general conditions, labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with construction and estimating software such as HCSS (HeavyBid / HeavyJob), Bid to Win, Procore, Primavera P6, BlueBeam, PlanSwift, Pipeline, Building Connected, etc.

Compensation for this opportunity:
  • $90,000 to $130,000 base salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • + Access to a Company Vehicle and Fuel Card as needed for business purposes
  • + Cell Phone Allowance
  • + Company Performance Incentive
    • After meeting minimum performance standards AS A COMPANY, 30% of the company's profits are shared among the employees.
  • + Safety Bonus

Location Information:
  • Office = Jacksonville, FL Phillips Hwy between University and JTB)
  • Jobsites = throughout NE Florida (mainly within ~30 miles of Jacksonville)
    • Occasional jobsite visits and vendor meetings as necessary.
