We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
  • Process payroll for union and non-union employees
  • Handle payroll taxes and related compliance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, overtime, and deductions
  • Prepare interim financial reports and statements as required
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Coordinate with project managers to track job costs and ensure accurate project accounting
  • Ensure compliance with local, sate, and federal regulations
  • Support the preparation of documents for audits and tax filings
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of public construction projects is a plus
  • Experience with union and non-union payroll processing
  • Understanding of prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software(QuickBooks), MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Understanding of job costing and project accounting
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
