Union Home Funding Corp. located on the Memorial Highway in New Rochelle, NY is currently seeking a dedicated mortgage loan processor to join their team.

Knowledge, Skills, and abilities required:

  • Must be eager to learn loan processing skills efficiently.
  • Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent record and file management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Gmail, and Adobe Professional.
  • Capable of delivering top-notch customer service both in person and over the phone.
  • Adept at handling multiple tasks and frequent interruptions.
  • Skilled at managing stressful situations with calmness and courtesy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working in a standard office environment.

Job Summary:

  • As a loan processor, you will be responsible for gathering and verifying borrowers' personal and financial information.
  • You will prepare and organize all necessary loan documents for submission to the Underwriter/lender, ensuring the smooth flow of the financial transaction process.

Major Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Act as a liaison between the borrowers, bank attorney, borrower's attorney (if applicable), lender, and loan originator.
  • Provide timely updates on the loan application status to borrowers.
  • Track and follow up on missing documents for mortgage loan approval.
  • Maintain accurate files, databases, and records for internal reports.

File System Management:

  • Organize borrower files and input data into the office management system.
  • Ensure all borrower files are complete and compliant with regulations and policies.

Administrative Support:

  • Process documents for each file received.
  • Review each document for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

This is a part-time position from Monday to Friday, working from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
