Job Description:

  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents of Valley Manor, ensuring courteous and timely service delivery.
  • Assist and transport residents to outside appointments in a safe, comfortable, and timely manner using ESLC vehicles.
  • Maintain clean and tidy vehicles, observing speed limits and safe driving practices consistently.
  • Cooperate with staff, families, and residents to manage schedules effectively.
  • Report any resident concerns promptly and maintain frequent communication with the front desk.
  • Offer directions and assistance to residents as needed, always showing respect and courtesy.
  • Perform routine vehicle pre-checks and inform supervisors of any issues immediately.
  • Handle snow removal, pick up supplies, and make deliveries as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in group transportation.
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and interact courteously with various individuals.

Physical Requirements: This role involves prolonged sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance.

Working Conditions: Most duties are performed inside a motor vehicle with exposure to outdoor temperature changes.

Supervisory Relationship: Requires periodic supervision with the need for some independent judgment.

Safety Responsibilities: Familiarity with safety policies, active participation in fire drills and emergencies, and compliance with facility in-service requirements are essential.

Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information encountered during work.
