Product Design Engineer Customer Terminals, Kuiper CT PD

Project Kuiper is a visionary initiative dedicated to launching a network of cutting-edge Low Earth Orbit satellites. These satellites will deliver fast and reliable broadband connectivity to communities worldwide that currently lack access.
Product Design Engineers at Project Kuiper play a vital role in pushing the boundaries of customer experience. They collaborate with a diverse team to conceptualize, design, and introduce innovative consumer products for the Kuiper program. Their responsibilities span from mechanical design and testing to providing insightful recommendations to leadership.
- Create innovative mechanical part and assembly designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenging electromechanical issues
- Communicate effectively with team members and executives
- Focus on delivering durable and high-performing designs
- Develop scalable solutions while tackling immediate challenges
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of product design experience in various industries
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing creation
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes
- Skills in tolerance analysis and statistical techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience designing consumer electronics products
- Expertise in mechanical and thermal simulations
- Subject Matter Expertise in mechanical engineering disciplines
- Familiarity with Phase Array antennas and outdoor electronics products
