We are currently seeking Claims Supervisors to join our dynamic team.

The Supervisor for Claims is responsible for guiding and developing employees to ensure the department meets quality and service level requirements. This includes overseeing staff quality and productivity, as well as supporting management in monitoring daily inventory, turnaround time, and claims processing quality. The Supervisor also plays a key role in fostering an environment that promotes a motivated, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance and guidance to team members in processing claims accurately.
  • Directing and motivating the Claims team to achieve departmental goals and performance standards.
  • Monitoring daily inventory and assignments to meet turnaround time goals.
  • Evaluating team quality and productivity, offering coaching and corrective actions when needed.
  • Tracking key performance metrics and collaborating on remedial plans to address any performance gaps.
  • Contributing to company projects aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving service quality.
  • Undertaking additional assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience, preferably with prior supervisory or management experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in the health insurance industry dealing with medical claims.
  • Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees, as well as evaluate their performance.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities necessary for interactions with employees, customers, vendors, and other departments.
  • Capacity to build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to take a holistic view of operations, leading a team to make sound recommendations for operational enhancements.
  • Capability to make and substantiate decisions effectively.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
  • Minimum internet speed requirement of 75 Mbps for the role.

Working Conditions:

  • Position offers the flexibility to work in both office and remote settings.
  • Ocassional schedule flexibility may be required, including attendance at key meetings and performing critical job functions outside of regular hours.
  • Physical Demands: Effective communication through auditory and visual means is essential.

Internal Pay Grade: 9

The starting salary for this position ranges from $57,411 to $73,199, depending on skills and experience.
