Salary: $6,500/month, $78,000/year, generous benefits package
Location: Madison or Milwaukee, WI
Start date: June 2024 (Employment with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin requires residence or willingness to relocate to the state of Wisconsin.)

The Opportunity: The Deputy Organizing Director will lead local grassroots teams to engage in voter contact, recruitment, and retention activities. Responsibilities include managing a team to support Democrats in the upcoming elections.

  • In collaboration with the DPW Organizing Director, manage the Regional team effectively to build local grassroots teams for voter contact and recruitment.
  • Support Engagement Organizing initiatives, including grassroots tactics and digital organizing activities.
  • Create a strong presence in local communities within the assigned area.
  • Ensure the development of volunteer infrastructure for success in various elections.
  • Meet or exceed goals for volunteer recruitment, retention, and voter contact.
  • Collaborate with the Organizing Director to reach underserved populations.
  • Provide training for volunteers and staff through various mediums.
  • Address volunteer needs effectively.
  • Assist with event logistics and hiring processes.
  • Execute statewide organizing programs across Wisconsin.
  • Manage team members and support their growth and success.
  • Be a representative of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and adhere to policies.
  • Work requirements may include activities outside normal hours.
