Exciting Opportunity Available: Environmental Health and Safety Program Manager


Overview

  • Responsible for overseeing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations at our plant location.
  • Ensures adherence to environmental permits and reporting requirements.
  • Manages the EHS system and security standards at the site to prevent recurring issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field
  • 3 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA Certifications: ASP or CSP

Key Responsibilities


  • 40%: Establish and develop site-specific Health and Safety programs in collaboration with other departments.
  • 15%: Drive a safety culture aligned with the company's safety strategy and oversee safety committees at the site.
  • 15%: Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and hazard prevention to leadership.
  • 10%: Conduct hazard assessments and recommend corrective actions.
  • 10%: Deliver OSHA compliance and operational hazard training.
  • 10%: Manage injury response, Workers' Compensation claims, and identify preventative measures.

Role Scope


Manages EHS programs for Tomato Ops manufacturing campuses with 20 full-time employees and about 280 seasonal workers, operating independently with minimal supervision. In charge of the Plant Risk & Safety Budget.

Working Conditions

Exposed to varying conditions from manufacturing to office atmospheres, including heat/cold, different sound levels, and occasional off-shift training sessions. Emergency availability required 24/7.

Compensation and Benefits


The base salary for this position ranges from $72,900 to $117,300, with additional compensation based on experience and skills.
