Position Summary
This position is responsible for all company production operations and staff. This includes direct management of all Gage and Machining/Grinding production staff, Scheduling, Productivity, Quality/Inspection, Shipping/Receiving, Procurement and Maintenance staff. Total staffing is approximately 18 so this is a hands on leadership role. The candidate will lead monitoring performance and implementing improvements to meet the growth objectives of the Company and to achieve world class performance. The Company has in place strong operational software and data collection which is used to drive formal metrics and continuous improvement. Fundamentally the position ensures our company achieves Quality, Delivery and Cost Competitiveness better than all competitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of successful Manufacturing Leadership roles with increasing roles and responsibility. Expertise in manufacturing is a must, and machining, grinding or calibration experience is beneficial.
- People and leadership skills focused on leadership, management, accountability and building a long term culture
- Possess excellent communication skills and team working ability at all levels,
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Expertise in Continuous Improvement processes and Process Improvement, including extensive experience in managing to Metrics
- Possess advance knowledge in understanding and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, ISO17025 & AS9100
- Strong knowledge of computer based operational software, including labor reporting, Material Resource planning, etc. JobBoss experience is beneficial
