We are seeking a Delivery Driver for our Last Mile delivery services, and will be responsible for delivering smiles regularly. This position is based at the College park Amazon DEG7 station(800 Anvil Block Rd. (Gilum Logistics Center) Ellenwood, Georgia. Right off Moreland and Anvil Block Rd.

Delivery King Logistics is looking for excellent candidates for our residential and commercial delivery contract with Amazon. You will be provided a branded Van, outfitted with awesome uniforms, and have access to the most cutting-edge technology in the logistics business. WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATES AS A PERMANENT PROFESSIONAL PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVER, SO NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Ideal candidates must have excellent customer service and communication skills, Large Van driving experience/skills a major plus. You must be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, a high degree of integrity, and a safety-first mentality. The Driver Associate will be responsible for making deliveries to homes, apartments, and businesses in the Atlanta Area. Delivery Associates always strive to get every order to the customer's door on-time. We offer full time/part-time/seasonal opportunities. Shifts are 10 hours per day and shifts are available 7 days per week.

10:30am Sharp daily ( Excellent attendance is required)

Basic Requirements:

Delivery King Logistics accepts a wide range of applicants with varying levels of experience as professional drivers in delivery services. We provide thorough on-the-job training so that all of our employees feel confident on the road and the doorsteps of customers. Our main priority is drivers that we can trust to drive safely and deliver on time.

• Eligible to work in the U.S
• Must have valid and current GA driver's license
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willing to consent to a 7-year criminal history check. (Typically checks for misdemeanors and felonies)
• Willing to consent to 3 year MVR Check (typically checks for DUI, At fault accidents, excessive speeding, suspensions, excessive traffic violations)
• Willing to consent to a 5 panel drug screening (typically tests for Amphetamines/Methamphetamines, Barbiturates, Cocaine Metabolites, Marijuana Metabolites: Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Opiates (including Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Codeine, and Morphine) and Phencyclidine (PCP)
• At least 21 years of age (At time of application)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We Deliver parcels & packages in a safe & timely manner to residential and business areas. We will supply you with a cargo van, fuel, insurance, uniform, and delivery device.

This job is for motivated individuals. As a delivery associate you will have to drive attentively and safely at all times, use GPS apps to navigate to locations, quickly find packages in the van, then move them quickly from the van to the delivery location, then quickly return to the van to repeat the task.

If you are selected for this position, here is what to expect:

• Work 10+ hours per shift, including weekdays, weekends, & holidays (We operate 7 days a week, 361 days a year)
• Routinely delivers 200+ packages a day in a 10 hour shift or less.
• Must be comfortable working in adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to get in/out of a van 120+ times per day in adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to work additional hours when needed during high volume periods
• Hours available and potential work schedule may change to suit our needs.
• Must be available to help other drivers when required
• Must maintain a minimum FICO(driving score) 790 to remain full-time status
• Must routinely complete driver training and coaching
• Provide reliable and courteous delivery service to customers

Duties / Typical Days agenda:

• Arrive at our distribution facility by the required time to receive your van assignment based on the weekly schedule
• On call drivers will need to be available with little notice (there will be an on-call bonus for drivers that work on an unscheduled day)
• Attend the morning stand up meeting discussing problems and issues for the day
• Receive your route assignment and the company provided Smartphone/GPS device
• Perform a Pre-trip vehicle inspection thoroughly checking the van for damage.
• Deliver up to 250+ packages on your route. (Smartphone/GPS device has the complete route pre-determined along with delivery estimates for each delivery) in exactly the manner that our client requires
• Follow all delivery instructions as directed by customer (when in doubt, follow company procedures)
• Possibly help another driver as directed
• Return van to station after refueling it for the next day (company will provide a fuel card)
• Remove all trash & debris from van
• Return Smartphone/GPS scanner device and keys; debrief with manager
• Perform post trip inspection noting any required maintenance items or damage

PREFERRED Requirements:

• Knowledge of the Covington Georgia Area.
• Computer literate to operate a Smartphone/GPS device with scanner
• Able to speak English (Required)
• Large VAN/ STEP VAN driving experience (Preferred)
• Delivery driving experience (Preferred such as USPS, Lyft, Fed Ex, UPS, Auto Parts, Pizza, etc.)
• Customer Service Experience (Required: Smile and be courteous to all customers)
• Deliver Packages quickly and to our standards
• Open work availability
