Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a crucial resource in managing DevOps processes' standards and governance
  • Resolve complex problems and implement solutions, providing expertise in interpreting against policies and guidelines
  • Collaborate, consult, and present technical information to management regarding the DevOps environment
  • Mentor junior DevOps Engineers and IT staff members
  • Develop, document, and communicate DevOps processes and standards
  • Maintain naming standards and conventions related to Azure resources
  • Configure continuous integration and release Pipelines
  • Ensure security standards compliance according to IT standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on enterprise controls and processes
  • Design and create build pipelines to safeguard production environments from unauthorized code
  • Collaborate with various teams to deliver artifacts effectively
  • Identify data needs for continuous integration and deployment pipelines for data-related code

Security

  • Design and implement security measures for data and code repositories, including encryption and access control
  • Create best practices for Projects and Teams within the Enterprise
  • Champion security measures, ensuring compliance with industry best practices
  • Assess risks and drive compliance with laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field OR equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting databases
  • Proven experience in data engineering, data management, or DevOps
  • Strong knowledge and experience in cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with data orchestration tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow
  • Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Skilled in building pipelines for containerization processes
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with process improvement abilities
  • Organizational skills to lead complex data projects
  • Effective communicator across all organizational levels
  • Ability to form collaborative relationships and mentor junior staff
  • Experienced in developing technical solutions
