Job Description:
Best Buy is seeking an innovative Sr. Software Engineer, Multi-Channel Ordering, experienced and knowledgeable in agile software development practices, to work on key digital / e-commerce initiatives on


As Digital Engineer II you will be working on order management capability that is a responsible for processing millions of orders that our customers want to enrich and support their lifestyle.

You will need to understand event streaming models, transactional boundaries, cloud infrastructure, REST principles, and be hands-on with java-based programming ecosystem.

In addition, strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively work cross functionally, would be essential to be successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a cross functional team of quality analysts, product managers, business analysts to aid in releasing high quality of software products to our customers

Design and build software to support and enhance order management function

Participate in agile planning and estimations

Work with infrastructure, release, and operations teams in building new applications and micro-services

Foster an automation mindset and automate

Qualification & Experience:
Experience in implementation and deployment of modern web development solutions: Java, Groovy, Spring, REST based web services, NoSQL databases, and distributed messaging systems

Experience in an eCommerce/retail organization

Passion for building world class software products

6+ years of experience enterprise software/application development with a bachelor's or 8+ years of the same experience without a bachelor's degree

1+ years of experience with RESTful design patterns for API and experience with using tools to work with REST APIs

Demonstrated background working directly with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders

Experience in agile development methodology – Scrum, Kanban and/or XP

Experience in test driven development, continuous integration and deployment practices
