The DEC at the Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School focuses on conducting psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and developmental evaluations for children and adolescents aged 5 to 21. Located in the vibrant Woodlawn neighborhood, our center serves a diverse population of clients from various backgrounds and regions, emphasizing ongoing care and collaboration with external providers and schools.
Summary and Essential Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents.
- Communicate diagnostic conclusions and intervention recommendations to families.
- Participate in school meetings and understand available services.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
This position offers flexibility and growth opportunities, requiring 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in clinical or school psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program.
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois.
- Post-graduate assessment experience with children and adolescents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing abilities are crucial.
