Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Assemble, test, commission, troubleshoot and repair entire range of Bray valve & automation products as well as buyout products. Work will primarily be performed in house with the possibility field service calls at customers' facilities. Perform all work required to complete assemblies and repairs of Bray automated valve assemblies in time sensitive and diverse situations. Complete all production transactions and documentation in a timely manner. Work closely with the Valve Automation Center Team and other assembly personnel to seamlessly execute jobs. Communicate daily with back-office personnel. Understand and follow all operational and safety procedures. Perform on site customer training for all Bray products. Attend all company meetings as requested. Record work stoppages and escalate to various departments for timely resolution: Quality Control, Engineering, Planning, Machine Shop, etc. Maintain clean organized shop area, per 5S principles. Responsible for consumables inventory control, identification/submittal of purchase request of parts needed for replenishment.

Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • 5+ years' experience in valve and automation manufacturing industry, with direct experience working with pneumatic and electric automation and controls.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and good customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to work well with various members of the team as well as other teams.
  • Basic working knowledge of MS Office applications and other related software.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Detail orientated, information seeking, willingness to learn, enjoy fast paced team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, self-driven, proactive, and systematic in approach.
  • Time management and punctual.
Performance Standards:
  • Overarching goals for department pertain to Shipment volume, On Time Delivery, and Delivery Time.
  • Customer complaints and assembly work stoppages are also tied to this position's effectiveness.
  • Successful execution of responsibilities in relation to automated assemblies, timely and organized management of orders, tools and inventory.
  • Effective communication and seamless coordination of tasks and process with operations, engineering and project teams.
  • Excellent customer service and promptness in response to internal and external requests.
  • Clean and organized work area, records and inventory.
  • High standard of quality and testing, with thorough documentation.
