Ryder is seeking a skilled Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse automation equipment, including conveyor systems, sorters, and palletizers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems, including PLCs, HMI, and sensors.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems with other warehouse operations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment, intermediate level.
- Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems, intermediate level.
- Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability, intermediate level.
- Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software, including Allen Bradley, Ignition, and Wonderware.
- Understanding of 24VDC control systems, photoelectric and proximity sensors, intermediate level.
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting servo and stepper motors and related software, intermediate level.
- Ability to troubleshoot and program bar code scanners and other vision systems, including Cognex, Datalogic, and Keyence.
- Knowledge of warehouse maintenance safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, fall restraint, and forklift/MHE operational safety.
- Ability to work independently in a safe manner, including working at heights.
- Competitive hourly pay rate of $28.00+ per hour, based on experience.
- Multiple schedules available, including first shift, second shift, and split shift.
