As part of this role, you will have the chance to utilize and enhance state-of-the-art techniques and tools to reverse engineer a diverse range of intricate systems. Your discoveries will be pivotal in devising innovative solutions to challenging unresolved issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tackle intricate technical challenges that often lack predefined solutions
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to synchronize capability enhancement pathways and effectively implement hardware reverse engineering outcomes into operational deployable remedies
  • Design and implement new security applications tailored for embedded systems
  • Contribute to various new research and development initiatives, emphasizing embedded system security
  • Efficiently pinpoint areas of interest within complex large-scale systems
  • Rapidly prototype novel technologies to target systems for exploitation
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments on fortified systems
  • Contribute to the ongoing advancement of technical resolutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific field OR minimum 5 years of experience in the embedded security sector
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux on embedded hardware platforms and debugging embedded systems (JTAG/UART/Oscilloscopes/Logic Analyzers)
  • Minimum 5 years of proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages
  • Proficiency in wired and wireless networking protocols and hardware with a background in reverse engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keenness to delve into uncharted territories
  • Experience in leading a small technical team of engineers and researchers
  • Active US Secret security clearance and eligibility to acquire and sustain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific field
  • Prior experience working within compact R&D groups consisting of researchers, engineers, and scientists
  • Background in firmware development
  • Expertise in RF technologies
  • Familiarity with Layer 1 and 2 wired and wireless protocols like USB, SPI/I2C/1-Wire, Ethernet, PCI-Express, 802.11, Bluetooth/ZigBee
  • Hands-on experience with hacking IoT devices
  • Active Top Secret DoD or IC security clearance

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active US Secret security clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance
  • Potential Polygraph examination may be mandatory
