Selected candidates will be part of a group responsible for supporting various electrical systems and equipment, including reactor plant instrumentation, control systems, power distribution equipment, and more, across different submarine classes and training platforms. This role offers a wide range of tasks of varying durations, increasing responsibilities, and independence based on skills and experience. Responsibilities involve system design, ship modification upgrades, life cycle support, project engineering oversight, troubleshooting, and technical resolution for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Qualifications:
  • Required: Minimum 12 years of U.S. Navy submarine experience as a qualified nuclear plant operator with an electrical or electronics background. High school diploma or equivalent. Engineering Watch Supervisor qualified. Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of operations.
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or higher. Experience in private or Naval shipyards. Nuclear Electrical Division leading chief petty officer experience. Squadron Engineering experience. Power conversion module operational experience. Electric plant rotating machinery maintenance and repair experience.
