Position Summary
This position performs production, distribution, and operations for the concrete plant facility. Helps ensure the demands of the operation are met and continually in balance the competing needs of maintenance and production. Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Reliable attendance is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Performs production, and distribution in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the company.

Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and the plant.

Reviews product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the operation.

Provides up-to-date status on support or production activities to appropriate parties.

Coordinates and assist in the supervision of any alterations in plant design.

Maintains a high degree of visibility in the plant/yard reviewing product and process.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
  • 2 years in a ready mixed concrete production or related role; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Commercial Driver's License helpful but not required
Skills and Abilities
  • Must have a good overall technical knowledge of plant operations, safety, training, environmental compliance, equipment, and construction projects
  • Must have excellent computer skills to perform related batching tasks.
  • The position may be required to be "on-call" to respond to emergency situations. The position may require extended work hours to meet business production needsmay include nights and weekends.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and understand operations manuals, equipment instructions, safety rules, etc. and write reports and communicate with management and peers to solve problems, provide instruction, etc.
