JOB SUMMARY: The Supply Clerk, reporting to the Materials Manager, is responsible for receiving, storing, packing, and shipping supplies for Lab and Client Supplies.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, filling, and sending supplies ordered by clients and phlebotomists via fax, email, and inter-departmental mail.
  • Resolve issues via phone/email by communicating with clients and phlebotomists.
  • Confirm outstanding supplies ordered by clients with supervisor.
  • Inform clients/phlebotomists about backordered supplies.
  • Receive and stock supplies from vendors following department protocol.
  • Ensure supplies are stored together in designated areas.
  • Label containers with date of receipt.
  • Check invoice/packing slip and handle discrepancies.
  • Organize containers on appropriate shelving.
  • Rotate stock per department procedure.
  • Monitor expiration dates and use supplies accordingly.
  • Dispose of packing materials properly.
  • Inventory and order lab items daily.
  • Handle biohazard materials disposal according to policies.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Deliver Lab supplies and assist in other lab tasks.
  • Follow security practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program and all policies.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • One year of relevant job experience preferred.
