Your Role
The Client Development Lead is assigned to a specific store. This role is responsible for supporting all growth and development strategies for targeted customer segments at the store level, enabling Associates to cultivate, develop, and strengthen relationships with customers of the Neiman Marcus brand.

What You'll Do

  • Leverages available reports to ensure team of Associates is achieving overall Client Development and selling KPIs
  • Executes all Client Development-specific initiatives in-store in partnership with the Group Sales Manager and the Market / Metro Manager
  • Implements company initiatives of Customer Cultivation, Omni Selling Tools and Omni Selling and Service
  • Performs detailed action plans for the store handed down by the Market / Metro Managers
  • Builds close, familiar relationships with top clients and identifies opportunities for store to strengthen Private Client Relations (PCR) experiences
  • Assists in coordinating in-store experiences (e.g., fitting room, events)
  • Implements and launches PAT tests
  • Scales and ensures that in-store roles of the Client Development team are clearly defined and have clear measurements of success
  • Provides feedback to the Managers and Directors on how initiatives are progressing
  • Coaches and mentors Associates on best practices (e.g., building relationships, personalized communication, product knowledge)
  • Partners with Group Managers to monitor performance of team members and identifies opportunities
  • Works with Associates to create and track detailed personal goals and action plans in partnership with Groups Sales Manager
  • Partners with Market Trainers to receive and deliver on-going training (especially on usage of Omni Selling Digital tools) to new Associates or as refresher to tenured Associates
  • Works well with others, listens effectively, adapts to various working styles, and shares necessary information
  • Promotes and provides a collaborative environment for Associates
  • Supports coworkers in learning and developing job-related skills
  • Partners with People Managers to offer observations on performance of coworkers and identify opportunities for growth
  • Takes ownership of internal and external customer problems and resolves them quickly
  • Applies knowledge of internal and external customers and / or market to develop business
  • Prioritizes tasks and uses effective time management practices to meet established team deadlines
  • Understands how team's work contributes to general department and company goals
  • Contributes to and partners with coworkers on accurate and organized completion of work
  • Supports coordination of team tasks and activities as needed
  • Models perseverance and resilience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Continuously builds skills and knowledge through training, coaching, and career experiences
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge and appreciation of the NMG business and the fashion industry
  • Conveys energy and enthusiasm for NMG and personal work

What You Bring
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, luxury retail fashion experience preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated and results driven
  • "Win together" mentality
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Product Suite, advanced proficiency with Excel preferred
  • Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
  • Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
