Description

At Eye Specialist of Napa Valley, we have an immediate opening for an Ophthalmic Technician / Assistant to join our growing dynamic team Ideally, you will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a technician in a thriving ophthalmology practice. Ophthalmic certification is a big plus

This is a Monday - Friday Day Shift position with NO Weekends and NO Holidays

The successful candidate will:
  • Have experience in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Be efficient and accurate at interviewing patients and documenting histories.
  • Be able to ensure charts are updated and accurate.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications.
  • Have previous experience with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting.
  • Be proficient with EMR computer programs.
  • Able to check patients' vision and identify chief complaints.
  • IOP
  • Know about Various diagnostic tests (Fundus photos, OCT, Visuals)
Requirements

Candidate needs to:
  • Have strong hospitality skills and patient care focus
  • Have good communication skills, including verbal and written.
  • Be able to work well with others as a team
  • Be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Salary determination is based on skills, experience, and training.
  • Bilingual - Spanish a plus
