About the Job and Company:

We are in search of a qualified HR Generalist (HR Advisor) in Oklahoma City to assist with human resources initiatives and provide valuable human capital advice to our consulting team and clients.

The role involves handling employee relations matters and working on various assignments while supporting and managing a client portfolio. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of human resource management and practical experience dealing with real HR challenges. We are looking for strategic thinkers and proactive problems solvers with exceptional communication skills. This position entails offering guidance on all staff-related issues and HR operations for clients, collaborating with colleagues to manage HR activities for their region and client base.

The perfect candidate will be driven by team achievements, possess strong communication, customer service, and HR expertise, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting accuracy and productivity standards. They will provide top-notch customer service, offering HR solutions to clients and team members either virtually or in person, promptly and accurately addressing their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture long-lasting client connections by conducting proactive client meetings regularly for a designated client portfolio.
  • Efficiently handle various HR requests and transactions, including creating employee handbooks, job descriptions, salary surveys, content development, policy formulation, and employee relations matters.
  • Address a range of HR inquiries, research and retrieve information, document activities in our CRM system, and respond promptly to all queries.
  • Provide advisory HR services on employee relations and grievances, including hands-on experience in managing claims from start to finish. Experience in depositions and working with agencies like EEOC and ADA is highly advantageous.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local labor laws and regulations, and promote best practices by revising policies and procedures.
  • Offer personalized account management services, ensuring timely resolution of client inquiries by collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Create HR solutions by gathering and analyzing data and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Coordinate benefits open enrollment activities for the assigned client portfolio.
  • Design, facilitate, and/or conduct HR-related training sessions for clients.
  • Lead and conduct investigations promptly, prepare documentation, and provide recommendations.
  • Thoroughly document client interactions in the CRM and HR Information System in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Conduct client visits and training sessions on-site.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist/HR Specialist.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, terminations, investigations, and disciplinary counseling is essential.
  • Proven expertise in HR best practices, along with knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and a quick learner of new applications.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to client locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PHR or SHRM CP Certification, or the ability to attain it within 1 year of employment.
  • Being bilingual is a bonus.
