Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations, to include Nursing, Quality, all Ancillary services, Security, Information Systems, as well as contracted food service, facilities, and environmental services
As part of the Senior Executive Team, this position will assist in ensuring that quality standards are continually achieved by all departments by:
Identifying opportunities for performance improvement and executing the plan;
Focusing on strategic direction and implementation of the Strategic Plan;
Coaching, mentoring, training, supervising, and motivating department leaders and personnel;
Ensuring adherence to staffing matrix by each respective department;
Periodically assessing Joint Commission readiness through inspections and audits; and
Ensuring fiscal viability of each department by developing annual budgets, proactively monitoring expenses, adjusting services accordingly, and recommending strategies for mitigating supply, utility, and repair expenses;
Recommending organizational changes and maintaining an effective organizational structure and team of managers;
Developing an evaluation and monitoring system to identify trends and areas needing improvement
Ability to serve as a team player and change-agent

What you will do:

The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations, to include Nursing, Quality, all Ancillary services, Security, Information Systems, as well as contracted food service, facilities, and environmental services.

Direct reports include Chief Nursing Officer, CIO, AVP Ancillary Services, AVP Quality, Directors of Security, Food Service, Environmental Services and Facilities.

Identifying opportunities for performance improvement and executing the plan;
Focusing on strategic direction and implementation of the Strategic Plan;
Coaching, mentoring, training, supervising, and motivating department leaders and personnel;

Periodically assessing Joint Commission readiness through inspections and audits; and

What you will need:
