Our client, a leading provider in industrial solutions, is seeking a

Controls Engineer

to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting various teams within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

This is a contract to hire opportunity with a growing team

Controls Engineer

What's the Job?
Develop and commission industrial control systems, PLC software, and HMI screens.

Conduct PLC/HMI code development, installation, debugging, and commissioning.


Conducting the peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams.

Ensure systems are designed and programmed according to customer and/or build specifications.

Travel to customer sites for system installation and startup.

What's Needed?
3+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming experience.


Proficiency with Rockwell Allen Bradley (Controllogix OR RSLogix OR Studio 5000) or Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal, WinCC) PLC programming.

Strong ability in motion control programming and commissioning (Servos, VFD, etc.).

Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration and commissioning.

Experience with hardware design using AutoCAD, Promise-E or ePlan is a plus.

AS or BS in Engineering. Ideally, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineer or similar. Equivalent years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
