Job Title: Archaeology Project Manager at WSP



We are currently seeking individuals with solid Field Archaeology expertise to join our team in Victoria, Kamloops, Kelowna, Vancouver, Castlegar, Fort St. John.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborating with clients and project teams to define and organize projects, under the supervision of the Project Director
  • Engaging with Indigenous groups and enterprises to facilitate their participation in projects
  • Overseeing projects to meet client expectations and regulatory standards
  • Tracking project progress in terms of timeline, budget, and other key performance indicators
  • Handling accounts receivable, discrepancies, and project profitability
  • Devising and executing project plans (e.g., safety protocols, quality assurance, risk management, communication strategies)
  • Maintaining regular and open communication with clients and project teams
  • Providing mentorship and direction to junior project personnel
  • Participating in the Health & Safety initiatives at WSP Golder and embodying a culture of prioritizing safety

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in archaeology and project management, preferably within a large, varied organization
  • A degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related social science
  • Possession of a Professional Project Management Designation (e.g., Project Management Institute) is advantageous
  • Excellent project planning abilities and proven team leadership skills
  • Proficiency in essential software such as Microsoft Office, Project, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Oracle CRM software is a plus
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and results-driven mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
