The Cloud Infrastructure Manager is a new position created to advance the firm's cloud infrastructure. We are seeking a hands-on manager to lead the firm's infrastructure migration to the cloud and provide management of all IT infrastructure. This role will primarily focus on Microsoft technologies including management of Azure infrastructure, Office 365 Administration, Windows Server Administration, Entra Identity Management and Intune Endpoint Administration. This position will work closely with technology partners and service providers to manage, configure and monitor infrastructure. This position will lead a small team and work closely with the Information Systems department to provide technical support for all infrastructure.
The Cloud Infrastructure Manager is a hands-on position that is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the firm's IT infrastructure. This includes management of Azure infrastructure, Office 365 Administration, Identity Management and Intune Endpoint Administration. This position works closely with service providers and partners to manage projects and services. This position provides tier 3 support to the ICS helpdesk and works closely with Information Systems staff on systems, projects and technical issues. This position will also play a critical role in advancing the firm's cloud infrastructure.
The Cloud Infrastructure Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Information Technology.
Schneider Downs has embraced the hybrid work model, so this role will have flexibility working from home, as well as in the office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to infrastructure staff and partners, and management of the technology infrastructure budget
- Ownership of all technology infrastructure (both cloud and on-premises), servers, telephony, networking and other core infrastructure technology
- Configuring, maintaining and monitoring Azure, Exchange Online, Office 365, Entra and InTune
- Project management of infrastructure implementations, upgrades and maintenance
- Management of network environment including switchers, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs and all other network communication devices
- Management of Windows server environment and hosting platforms including backups
- Implementation of infrastructure best practices, policies, security, resource management and optimization
- Monitoring, alerting and disaster recovery planning for all technology infrastructure
- Research of latest technology enhancements and development of recommendations to ICS management
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum of five years experience in infrastructure management
- Experience with Azure Infrastructure management and billing
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (M365), formerly Office 365 (O365)
- Experience with Windows Servers
- Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls and related hardware
- Strong networking background (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing)
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and/or Microsoft InTune
- Technical certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
