Role

The mission of Aurora's Cloud Security team is to develop and implement security solutions for Aurora Services. Our reliance on public cloud infrastructure (specifically AWS), Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code technologies underscores the importance of this role in fortifying our security posture. As part of this team, you will focus on integrating security infrastructure and controls within AWS to establish a robust cloud environment. Collaboration with our Infrastructure team and, at times, with service-owning development teams is key to success in this role, which places a premium on security while necessitating a strong grasp of the aforementioned domains.

In this role, you will

  • Design and implement security infrastructure and controls on AWS
  • Enhance security in the AWS cloud environment through various means
  • Develop automation solutions to address security challenges comprehensively

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in security and public cloud infrastructure
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more security domains:
    • Identity & Access Management
    • Detection & Response
    • Vulnerability Management
  • Familiarity with AWS security controls or equivalent cloud security practices
  • Essential understanding of threat modeling, network security, OS security, and AWS security best practices
  • Basic proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language

Desirable

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and experience with Terraform scripting
  • Knowledge of microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, and related ecosystems
  • Familiarity with Devops/Devsecops concepts and CI/CD pipelines

Aurora's base salary range for this role is $177k-$265k annually. Compensation is influenced by factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. Additionally, the successful candidate may receive an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
