Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Set-up Machinist to join their team and support machining functions in Escondido and Carlsbad areas. 6:00 a.m.–2.30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. schedule. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Machinists in achieving machining excellence.
  • Grind all production tooling for optimal performance.
  • Edit CNC screw machine abutment and ancillary tooling programs.
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC screw machines.
  • Perform initial parts inspection and verification.
  • Clean and maintain CNC machines.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CNC screw machine experience/general machining ability (measuring devices/blueprints).
  • Previous cGMP and/or ISO experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with small parts and performing repetitive tasks daily.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Close vision required for using microscopes, reading documents, and operating machines. Distance vision required for driving, if applicable.
  • Indoor, climate-controlled work environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise levels similar to a light industrial environment or household with TVs and dishwashers.
