As a Service Specialist I, you will play a vital role in ensuring top-notch services for individuals by providing leadership in specific service areas such as activities and recreation, dual disorders, housing, employment, or education.

Utilizing a strength-centered approach to rehabilitation, the Service Specialist will be involved in developing, planning, executing, and assessing the effectiveness of services related to recreation, housing, employment, and other specialized services.

Your responsibilities will include implementing interventions outlined in service plans with individuals, offering direct training and support for their specific skill development area.

Additional duties consist of maintaining client documentation, advocating on behalf of clients, and providing coverage at residential programs when required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred. High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in Human Services
  • Strong time management and writing skills
  • Minimum age of 21 with a valid US driver's license for at least one year
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certification within 150 days of employment
  • Successful completion of background checks including CORI, references, multi-state background, and driving record checks
