As an Account Manager at Airgas, your role will be pivotal in efficiently communicating, strategizing, and implementing sales plans to achieve success. Your proactive attitude, customer-centric approach, and problem-solving capabilities will be key in providing exceptional service and value.

  • Clearly convey ideas, plans, and activities in an organized and concise manner to support customer business operations.
  • Identify and categorize current and potential account prospects, managing time efficiently to meet sales targets.
  • Develop and put into action account expansion strategies, including regular business evaluations to optimize sales.
  • Recognize key decision-makers and influencers to initiate purchases and steer buying choices.
  • Maintain systematic data management throughout the sales cycle.
  • Keep abreast of new product information and stay updated on industry competition.
  • Incorporate all product ranges into accounts to offer enhanced value in line with our Core Sales Philosophy.
  • Address customer grievances by investigating issues, devising solutions, and presenting recommendations.

Do you have what it takes?

Preferred sales experience of over 3 years, with a focus on industrial gases and equipment.

  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, and public speaking.
  • Familiarity with the operational geographical area.
  • Ability to travel extensively (miles daily) and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven, self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in the English language—reading, writing, speaking, and spelling.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate customer requirements and management expectations.
  • Physically capable of performing essential job tasks, including lifting and handling.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Independent worker who excels under pressure and meets deadlines.
  • Collaborative and adaptable to diverse backgrounds and personalities.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a dependable personal vehicle with insurance.
