We are hiring a Licensed Clinician - Youth I/DD
SERV, a leading company in behavioral healthcare in New Jersey, focuses on supporting individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities to enhance their independence and overall life satisfaction through a wide array of services.
Job Summary:
We are in need of an experienced Licensed Clinician - Youth I/DD to design, create, and oversee behavioral support options for clients diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional therapeutic and communication abilities, and work collaboratively with our team, clients, CMO, and families.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completing Biopsychosocial assessments/reports and IMDS strengths and needs assessments
- Developing comprehensive treatment and discharge plans and updating as necessary
- Providing individual therapy if needed
- Completing initial safety/soothing plan development, documentation, and consultation, and conducting debriefing with youth and family
- Offering group therapy or family therapy if applicable
- Participating in treatment team meetings
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field, licensed to practice independently in New Jersey (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD) OR a Master's level therapist licensed to practice in New Jersey who will attain full independent licensure as required by the licensing board.
Minimum one year of experience working with youth with I/DD.
Ability to accommodate a schedule that meets the needs of clients and families.
