Community Relations Director at Oaks Senior Living

The Community Relations Director plays a crucial role in promoting the facility by establishing positive connections with referral sources, potential clients, and educating them about Oaks Senior Living's values and services. This position is integral to the community's management team.



Primary Responsibilities:
  • Marketing:
    • Develop and execute a robust marketing strategy involving visits to referral sources, organizing events for potential clients, placing advertisements, and sending promotional materials.
    • Foster positive relationships with the community, especially referral sources.
    • Educate staff on their role in marketing and showcasing the facility.
    • Engage with local community groups to build rapport, raise awareness about the facility, and establish positive ties.
    • Participate in marketing and sales training sessions.
  • Sales:
    • Maintain accurate records of interactions with potential customers, understanding the facility's offerings, and guiding prospects through the decision-making process.
    • Establish trust with clients by addressing their needs, presenting the facility's benefits, and facilitating interactions with current residents and staff.
    • Ensure regular follow-ups with prospects and provide progress reports to the executive team.
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Move-In Process:
    • Assist families with move-in paperwork and scheduling resident assessments.
    • Ensure seamless communication among employees, residents, and families during the transition process.
  • General Management:
    • Supervise caregiving staff to deliver quality care based on the Person-Centered Lifestyle philosophy.
    • Participate in managerial duties and promote teamwork and continuous learning.
    • Address employee concerns promptly and follow company policies in all situations.
    • Carry out assigned tasks and comply with regulations and training programs.
    • Maintain required certifications and continue education annually.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven sales and marketing experience in long-term care.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and sales tools.
  • Ability to engage effectively with older adults.
  • Familiarity with State Regulations is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a clear background check and medical screenings.

Physical Job Requirements:
  • Stand/walk up to eight hours a day and sit up to four hours.
  • Support up to 75 pounds frequently and lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, and reach as needed.
