As an applicant, you should meet the qualifications needed and possess the skills to handle tasks like prepping cases for trial, passionately defending your clients, negotiating plea deals, and handling pleas for felony cases in Superior Court. If you've got previous experience in major felony cases, that's a big plus Also, make sure you're currently a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and are all about providing solid indigent defense.
Job Duties: In this role, you'll be offering top-notch representation and advocacy to indigent clients. You'll be functioning as a Senior Staff Attorney from pretrial stages right through to case completion. You should also be down to take on any other related duties that come your way.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND a license to practice law in the State of Georgia OR eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination, followed by passing the Georgia Bar exam and getting licensed to practice law in Georgia within one (1) year of joining OR reciprocity AND Two years of relevant legal experience OR Two years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2 (LEP021)
