Duties:

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team

Typical work assignments include:

  • Assisting the Sponsors in the development of life cycle cost estimates and justifying the need for capital asset funding during preacquisition in order to justify a new acquisition project start.
  • Monitoring program performance against initial plans, monitoring and evaluating internal/external reports and providing independent assessments of investment performance.
  • Assisting with the development and publication of program management policies (including acquisition software development policies), processes and procedures; identifying and analyzing program acquisition metrics and ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place for major and nonmajor systems acquisitions.
  • Functioning as an instructor for Coast Guard Major and Non-Major Acquisition Process Training and may be required to provide instruction in Acquisition Process Training courses presented by other organizations.

Qualifications:
