Unarmed Security:

This position is for two consecutive evenings from 11:00pm until 7:30am.


Patrol grounds throughout shift to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of gates, animal enclosures and safety of guests, employees, owners and animals.

Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Check for maintenance issues such as bad irrigation lines, burnt lights, damaged fencing and for unusual animal behavior.

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Respond to guest concerns, disturbance of peace incidents and other guest needs. Make sure guests stay in main facility and are not harassing the animals.

Perform administrative duties such as checking tour manifests, confirming guides for next day, manager log, in-house reports, reservations, etc.

Perform and record rounds periodically around property.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience as a night watchman or security guard.
  • Ability to respond and make quick decisions in an emergency situation.
  • Strong organizational, problemsolving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Guard Card, AA degree, or equivalent.
  • Background check required.
