Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician

Position Summary:
The main role of this position is to maintain fire sprinkler systems with minimal supervision.

Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Services and maintains fire protection sprinkler systems for commercial use.
  • Conducts regular maintenance and emergency service calls as necessary on existing sprinkler systems.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctioning sprinkler systems.
  • Repairs or replaces faulty equipment.
  • Prepares precise and timely work documentation, completes monthly vehicle reports, and manages truck inventory for efficient customer service.
  • Adheres to company safety protocols.
  • Ensures a positive customer service experience.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with vocational training.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in all types of fire sprinklers (wet, dry, deluge, pre-action).
  • Proficient in fire pumps and underground sprinkler systems.
  • Thorough understanding of NFPA and local fire codes (NFPA 13, 13(R), 13(D), 14, 20, 24).
  • Familiar with all fire codes and able to identify system deficiencies.
  • Valid driver's license and clear drug screening.

Certification/Licensing:
  • Backflow Test and Repair Certification required.
  • Obtain and maintain product certifications and licenses as per national, state, and local codes.

Work Environment:
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, electrical hazards, and challenging work environments.
  • The described work environment may be adapted for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly perform various physical tasks.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible full-time schedule with on-call availability and travel readiness.
  • Drive a motor vehicle for extended periods.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure:

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $21.10 to $41.83, depending on experience and qualifications. We provide healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, short and long term disability coverage, life insurance, well-being perks, paid time off, and more. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in the first year, with increased rates thereafter, and 6 paid holidays.
