Job Description: Progressive Stamping Production Leader
Note: We are hired by the client for their staffing needs. We don't charge the candidates; anybody hired directly performs for the client, not us. It's a direct hire.
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Progressive Stamping Production Leader to join a reputable manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead and supervise the assigned area to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Morale, and Cost Objectives. They will ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and supervise the assigned area to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Morale, and Cost Objectives.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Coach and develop team members to reach their full potential.
- Meet required safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
- Supervise staff to produce products and organize workflow.
- Assist the team with troubleshooting equipment and material concerns.
- Monitor and participate in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) activities and implement action plans.
- Conduct internal interviews and investigations to resolve concerns and continuous improvement suggestions.
- Coordinate activities with other supervisors and departments.
- Schedule production work assignments and implement adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate resources for machine set-ups, changeovers, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Communicate critical machine downtime to Manufacturing Manager and submit work requests as needed.
- Monitor process and product quality to verify conformance to specifications.
- Evaluate and implement cross-training techniques to ensure a well-trained team.
- Ensure compliance with AITF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer requirements.
- Provide communication and company information updates to the team regularly.
- Provide feedback of employee questions/concerns to Manufacturing Manager and HR Director.
- Assist in resolving team member concerns or questions on a timely basis.
- Make recommendations for area training needs and monitor/completes training matrix.
- Actively participate in the safety of the assigned work area by conducting investigations and resolving safety concerns.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA's) and resolve non-conformances as assigned.
- Assist with applicant interviews and make recommendations for hire as directed.
Qualifications:
- Mid-senior level experience (5 years minimum) in a manufacturing environment.
- Some college coursework completed.
- Experience in Progressive Stamping is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with a positive leadership style.
- Ability to coach and develop team members effectively.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards (AITF 16949, ISO
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as GD&T, blueprint reading, 8D, and Plex ERP (preferred).
- Experience in conducting Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and resolving non-conformances.
- Ability to support and comply with all company/safety standards and standard operating procedures.
