We're adding to our team and growing across our markets We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer with a diverse engineering skill set to perform all aspects of machine automation engineering and system integration, including initial concepts, specifications, design engineering, documentation, project implementation, testing, startup, and training of operating and maintenance personnel. You will be a key member of a diverse team of professionals developing solutions for our client's most complex automation challenges.

You Will:

  • Develop designs that require innovation and ingenuity
  • Perform tasks against project plans independently with minimal supervision
  • Work with Lead Engineers in planning, cost development, scope management, and scheduling
  • Maintain effective communication with project team member project team management and client representatives
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel
  • Create panel designs, wiring schematics, single line diagrams, conduit schedules, wire sizing, component selection, writing engineering installation instructions
You Have:
  • BSEE preferred but applicable experience and demonstrated knowledge will be strongly considered
  • 15-20 years' experience in design of machine control and process control
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Procter & Gamble experience preferred.
  • Ability to take design requirements and create a working design.
  • Understands UL and NEC requirements as they pertain to electrical design.
  • Experienced with panel design, wiring schematics, single line diagrams, conduit schedules, wire sizing, component selection, writing engineering installation instructions.
  • 15+ years in Electrical Design background with focus on Machine Automation, Packaging Line Integration, Material Handling.
  • Experience with machinery and conveyor system
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system testing
  • Able to work in vendor and customer sites supporting the installation, start up and verification of equipment and systems
  • Familiar with principles, theories, concepts and industry practices and standards
  • Understand UL and NEC requirements as they pertain to electrical design

  • ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLC systems
  • Point, Flex and Armorblock remote IO systems
  • Allen Bradley PowerFlex Drives, Schneider Altivar Drives
  • Allen Bradley Ultra 3000 and Kinetix Servo Drives
  • Cognex Vision Systems
  • Allen Bradley, Sick, and Euchner Safety Components
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Promis.e experience preferred.
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
Specific Machinery Knowledge Include:
  • Conveyors - Product, Package, Case, Pallet Load, Accumulators, Sorters, Singulators, Merges
  • ASRS and SDVs
  • Palletizers, Stretch Wrappers, Pallet Labelers, Pallet Stackers
  • Fillers, Case Packers, Tray Formers, Shrink Wrappers, Bundlers
  • Code Daters, Checkweighers, High Speed Counters, Metal Detection
