Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL), a Sonic Healthcare Company has an immediate opening for a Human Resource Coordinator. American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL) is a regional provider of esoteric and clinical laboratory services, focused to provide the unique turnaround time and quality demands for testing services for health care providers.

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This role provides administrative support to the central office human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Location: Memphis, TN 38134

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Assists with processing of terminations
  • Processes occupational injury reports to carrier in a timely manner
  • Maintain all OSHA logs within OSHA posting requirements
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR leadership team
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
  • Prepares new-employee files
  • Processes mail for central office

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2 years of general human resources experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with computers, including in-depth internet knowledge and working proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, internet, and HRIS systems
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Excellent customer service
  • Superior oral and written communication
  • Healthcare-related experience a plus

  • Extensive knowledge of HRIS
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, manage competing demands and develop realistic action plans

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to handle a high volume workload
