Emergency Room Technician

Are you ready to assist physicians and nurses in emergency situations with a hands-on approach? If yes, keep reading As an Emergency Room Assistant at Kaiser Permanente, you will have the opportunity to play a critical role in patient care by performing a variety of essential responsibilities such as:
- Assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic patient care functions
- Providing support during emergency room procedures and examinations
- Helping with special procedures like peritoneal lavage and thoracotomy
- Responding to incoming phone calls and ensuring appropriate actions are taken
- Performing tasks like 12-lead EKGs and closed heart massages (CPR)
Basic qualifications for this position include at least six months of recent experience in a healthcare setting along with a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, you'll need relevant certifications such as an Emergency Medical Technician Certificate and Basic Life Support.
If you have a minimum of two years of experience in an Emergency Department or Emergency Medical Services, that's a plus This role offers variable start times and requires working eight shifts per four weeks, with two weekend shifts.
