The Sales Development program is designed to prepare individuals for sales account management at Hussmann. If you are highly motivated and striving to become a top-performing consultative seller, this program will equip you with the necessary tools for success.

About the Role:

You will begin your journey at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO, for a week of orientation. Over the following month, you will establish team relationships with your assigned sales team. Subsequently, you will commence the inter-departmental rotational program. During this phase, you will immerse yourself in learning every aspect of the business by rotating through commercial departments, visiting plants, completing projects, and undergoing formal online and facilitator-led training. Travel will be a key component of the program. Applicants must be willing to relocate upon successful program completion. This role reports to the Sales Effectiveness Manager.

This comprehensive program spans months and is designed to enhance your knowledge, provide new experiences, and elevate your skills.

After refining your skills, you can expect to continue with your sales team or transition to another team with demand. It's the perfect opportunity to hit the ground running.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to the team (Sales, Quoting, Coordination, Logistics) by managing customer expectations, project details, deadlines, and post-shipment requirements
  • Act as a Sales Project Manager attending customer meetings, monitoring project schedules, and organizing equipment deliveries with contractors, internally and externally
  • Document product issues and ensure customer satisfaction through appropriate actions, both temporary and permanent
  • Demonstrate curiosity and eagerness to acquire sales- and business-related knowledge; actively seek out experiences that offer new skills, behaviors, and knowledge; prioritize these experiences proactively

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree mandatory (engineering or technical background preferred)
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, plant visits, and other impactful sales-related activities
  • Ability to work efficiently with tight deadlines
  • Proficient in establishing and managing project timelines
  • Tech-savvy with interest and exposure to new technologies
  • Experience in the food retail or Refrigeration Industry is advantageous
  • Openness to relocate within the US for career advancement
