The Quality Control Receiving Inspector is responsible for ensuring all products received from outside vendors are compliant to all technical drawings and specifications. The inspector will perform review documentation to ensure compliance with Company purchase order requirements and perform mechanical and automated inspections of intricate machined components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Review supplier documentation for compliance to purchase order requirements.
- Perform visual workmanship inspections.
- Measure products with various gauges including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, thread gages, height stands, indicators.
- Measure products using automated inspection equipment such as optical comparators and CMM.
- Generate detailed inspection records in paper or electronic format.
- Input receiving inspection certification into collection database.
- Accept conforming or reject non-conforming products and generate Non-conformance Reports for products that fail to meet specifications.
- Manage calibrated inspection tools and maintain calibration records for all inspection equipment.
Required:
- HS diploma
- Understand geometric tolerances.
- Ability to use Microsoft word and excel.
- Experience utilizing comparators and CMM machines strongly desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to problem solve and write clearly and logically.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, as well as department procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Color vision with 20/20 eyesight (corrected).
- High attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Have a positive attitude, ability to work in a collaborative environment and be customer-focused
- Due to ITAR, must be US citizen or permanent resident.
